- I really hope that this exchange of ideas and practices will allow us to better understand the difficult process of opening science to researchers and the rest of society â€“ said the Rector of the University of ¾«¶«Ó°ÊÓ and the President of the CRASP Science Committee, Prof. Elżbieta ŻądziÅ„ska.

- The topics discussed here are becoming very urgent taking into consideration the reality which we are functioning in. I am thinking of a pandemic here, which acts as a kind of catalyst. Experiences of open access and the possibility of using this work, going a step further, in other sectors or in an interdisciplinary way, looking for mechanisms so as to use the achievements and not repeat them, has amazing advantages – said Minister Wojciech Murdzek.

The first lecture during the Seminar was delivered by Prof. Johan Rooryck from the Leiden University,  Executive Director. He was talking about the history and perspectives of Plan S implementation in European states. The elements of these activities include: resignation from embargo on scientific articles or fees for access to the articles themselves. The full speech by Prof. Rooryck - from 00:18:30 . The discussion after the lecture was moderated by Prof. Åukasz Bogucki, the UL Vice-Rector for international relations.
