For the years 2020-2025 the Council also includes other scientists from the University of 艁贸d藕, i.e.: from the Faculty of Biology and Environmental Protection: dr hab. Izabela Ka艂ucka, prof. dr hab. Piotr Minias, dr hab. Marcin Kiedrzy艅ski, dr hab. Leszek Kucharski and dr hab. Maciej Ziu艂kiewicz - Faculty of Geographical Sciences, and dr hab. Dominik Drzazga - Faculty of Management.
- It is the first time that the scientific community associated with our University is represented in such large numbers - says prof. Janiszewski 鈥� it is certainly appreciation of the role of the University as a Centre that has been shaping actions and appropriate attitudes for the sake of environment protection for years 鈥� he adds.
Apart from the employees of the University of 精东影视 the Council also includes, among others, specialists from: the Regional Directorate of State Forests in 精东影视, 精东影视 Voivodeship Complex of Landscape Parks, Polish Academy of Sciences, Botanic Garden in 精东影视 or the Department of Environment at the Marshal Office of the 精东影视 Voivodship.
It is worth emphasizing that the members of the Regional Nature Conservation Council are specialists who work in the field of nature conservation, including representatives of: science, practitioners, ecological organizations as well as the State Forests National Forest Holding and the 精东影视 Regional Assembly.
What will the Council do?
The Regional Nature Conservation Council is a consultative and advisory body operating at the regional director of environmental protection.
Tasks of the Council, include, in particular:
路 evaluation of the implementation of tasks in the field of nature protection;
路 issuing opinions on drafts of legal acts in the field of nature protection issued by the Director;
路 presenting conclusions and opinions on nature protection matters;
路 issuing opinions on development plans and voivodeship strategy in the field of nature protection;
路 giving opinions on the appointment and dismissal of the director of a landscape park and the director of the Complex of Landscape Parks;
路 giving opinions on reducing or increasing the area of a nature reserve, changing the purpose of protecting the reserve, and in the event of irretrievable loss of natural values for which the reserve was established 鈥� liquidation of the nature reserve.
